On April 7th 2003, when our school came into existence, though construction work for the development of school had started long before this date, few labs namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Labs were made. All apparatus to be used in these labs were purchased directly from the manufacture/ major suppliers fro Ambala in Punjab. One year later Maths labs were also introduced. These labs were established keeping in view of the studies of class IX to Class XII. All apparatus required for secondary and senior secondary level were procured. Labs were so big and spacious that these can accommodate little more than 20-25 students in it, which is ideal and as per the norms of Board.

In the session 2006-07 when first batch was to appear in Board Exam in class XII with the subject Engineering Drawing as one of the main subject, one more lab of ED was also felt necessary, so one more lab of ED was added with enough furniture and other equipment of accommodate as many as 40 students simultaneously.

With the increase of number of sections and strength of the school, pressure on the computer Lab was rising, as computer subject is introduced from the primary classes itself. As a result computer lab for Primary Wing was separated Furniture in the primary computer lab was suitable for the small kids. With the increasing number of students opting for Computer and Informatics Practices in Senior Secondary Level, another Computer Lab was required so one more Computer Lab has been started with LCD screen computer.

Apart from these conventional labs, eight large rooms fitted with LCD projectors and screen is operational for last two years. These are Edu-Comp Labs where students of all wings/ classes go as per the time table slots allotted to them. These Edu-Com labs has the capacity of more than 100 students at a time and there are education modules suitable for various age groups which make learning even more interesting, Even in the subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths etc, there are interacting CD’s present in which difficult topics are explained using animation. If makes understanding of the topics much easier and simpler.

Apart from that there is a provision of conducting test in Edu-Comp labs where result of 40 students is generated immediately. Every student of DPS Durg is using these labs and is benefited out of it.
